Winston the baseball player

#1

In an interview after the Rose Bowl Winston said he was looking forward to playing baseball this summer.  If he declares for the NFL draft, he definitely won't be playing baseball this summer.

Where did that come from?  Is there any chance he doesn't turn pro this year?

winston in the video above playing on the same baseball team as the 2012 number 1 overall pick carlos correa... carlos appears at the 0:45 mark in the video

mlb scouts said winston could use the mlb againist the nfl to demand which nfl team he winds up on, similar to john elway. Winston is decent baseball prospect, and was drafted by the texas rangers... he could seriously choose the mlb if he winds on a team like the jets... winston will probably get a very good agent

i think winston will wind up with the houston texans

Not sure. He may have just said that to ignore the question. He'll go to Tampa or Oakland if he does enter the draft. He has said before that he'd like to stay at least three years.

Yeah I don't get it. He is a non prospect as a baseball player, and he is the teams closer throwing high effort, high leverage, and therefore high risk situations. If he were to tear his UCL and need TJ...wow. Not to mention his elongated baseball related release as a football player is one of his few actual on the field major issues and the faster he gives up baseball to work on his football release mechanics the faster he will succeed in the NFL.

Oakland??   They're not drafting a QB.   They have one.   Maybe you meant Tennessee.
