Whether you like it or not, in the real world free agents are getting signed so im not sure what kind of argument that is. So 5 starting positions and 4 back ups between free agency and a 7 round draft? Yeah that doesn't require a trade down.

 

 

I never said anything about not liking free agents. I simply said you can't just count on getting the best free agents, because you have a lot of money to spend. Yeah, we may target some high profile guys, but whose to say they wanna come to Jacksonville? Sometimes they just wanna go to a team with a history of winning or they wanna go back to play for their hometown team or sometimes they have a certain QB they wanna play with. I know we're gonna sign some free agents, that's inevitable, but people might wanna temper their expectations on the guys we end up with. We're gonna target some top tier players, but that doesn't mean we'll land them.

I didnt say i was expecting all top free agents. I said we have about 9 spots to fill. 5 starting positions and 4 depth players. Between free agency and the draft, that is enough to fill those 9 spots without moving our draft position.

Malik Jackson, Prince Amukamara, Tashaun Gipson, Kelvin Beachum, Chris Ivory, Brad Nortman . . . Need I list more? All of those players came to Jacksonville in the same offseason. They may not be the best UFAs but clearly were upgrades over what we had when Dave Caldwell arrived.

I do too. Lamp can play LG and Feeney can play RT or we can substitute Pat Elflein for Feeney and I'd be fine too. I'd also take Elflein and Ethan Pocic. Pocic has experience at OT as well. I know there would be a dropoff, but I'd even settle for a combination of Nico Siragusa at OG and Taylor Moton at RT. Currently, I have us projected to take OG Nico Siragusa in round 4 and OT Javarius Leamon in round 7.

I haven't heard that he was a Corner, but I did see where he was a Running Back and Safety in High School. Every time I've watched him, he jumps off the screen. Dude can play, he'll just nee the right system and support to get everything out of him.

I was really impressed with the pass rushing abilities of KSU DE/OLB Jordan Willis. The kid was harassing QB's all week. I've liked him all season, but he really blew up during Senior Bowl week. I believe he could go as high as the mid to late 2nd round.

So I caught a skills competition last night. Reddick was participating and went against the RBs through an obstacle course.


He came out with a better time than Dalvin Cook and the only reason that it was close was because he jacked the sled TOO HARD.


Sign me up for him in Round Two.
