Gator Bowl Prices on Stub Hub

#1

Rick Catlett may be on to something.

Just did a quick check on Stubhub and the cheapest Gator Bowl tix (TN vs Iowa) are listed at $66.   Compare that to the Orange Bowl (GaTech vs Miss State) where there are numerous tix on sale starting at $6  --- yes, six dollars !!!

Terrible game. But I guess they deserve credit for taking advantage of a Tennessee fanbase desperate to go to a bowl game.

Just annoying for Catlett and Verlander to go on the radio and pretend like it is a good matchup.

What's more annoying is the 1010XL crew shilling for them. Since 1010XL is the official station of . . . everything local, they've become a lot less reliable on good takes on anything not related to FSU/UF/UM. There they have no axe to grind and I like how they regularly get the top bloggers from each.

Once you hike up to the 400's they will tell you to trade in your $6 ticket for a seat down low to make the stadium look full... they did it every year for the ACC Title game.

whatever money they may make up in ticket sales, they lose, and then some, as far as TV revenue by falling to one of the mediocre bowl games that nobody cares about and nobody watches.  a mid-afternoon, day after new years game following the armed forces bowl...

Agree. Catlett has done a horrific job with the Gator Bowl.
