1st and Goal at the 1 yard line

This is how bad this team and coaching staff is. I wonder how many other people thought this. It's almost automatic 1st and goal from the 1. I can go on, this is so frustrating to watch.

This is a situation where that over used bootleg playaction we run would have probably worked.

I thought they should have used it a few times yesterday actually.  It was far from "overused" in that game.  Having Bortles roll out in the redzone with the option to sprint to the pylon may have worked yesterday too.

Where has the roll out been?  I haven't seen BB on a roll out in forever.

Well, it made sense to tone it down when opponents had 6 games worth of tape on it and were sniffing it out.

Yesterday may have been a good time to revive it though.

Fair point on the film and defenses planning.  However, there should be no reason to sprinkle in things that work.  Just to keep defenses honest if not for anything else.  It seems that once a certain play doesn't work we go away from it indefinitely.  Eventually, we end up like yesterday at the end of the game where we are down to like 2 plays being called.

I didn't have a problem throwing to Lee, but the design and execution of the play to Marcedes, and following that with taking him out and allowing the defense one less thing to focus on was questionable to me.

I don't mind one play to Lee in the corner but after that didn't work put 2 tight ends on the field, Marcedes next to Joeckel, Clay Harbor from the right side in motion to the left, a Tuo'fa'ou in front of Denard and run it full speed over the left side! Good grief if that mass of humanity running at full speed can't get one freakin yard then you have a terrible set of players.

He wasn't even capable of calling plays at Miami.... he had play-makers all over the field to make up for his lack of ingenuity.

I don't always agree with you Chief, but I do agree with this.

Denard Robinson is not the future running back of this team. He had two 100 yd games and people were jumping on the bandwagon. Folks, this guy is not a running back. He's been at several different positions and failed at all of them and he's a failure at running back as well. We need a true running back in next's years draft.

I do agree that he won't and shouldn't be the "feature" back but he's a good guy to have around.  He's not been a failure, he was a 5th round pick changing to a very different position.  I'd say he's done quite well and I'd like to see what he can do in a real offense for once.

DRob is a solid third down back.  He's just not build to be a ground and pounder who can carry the ball 20+ times a game for an entire season.  You keep him fresh and explosive.

The "idea" of Gerhart wasn't bad, having that big feature back, he's just been a disappointment and not met expectations.
