Bill O Brien's post-game presser keeps it REAL after a loss, compared to Gus Badly's "positive" [BAD ...

1. That's not Gus' job anymore.

2. Big difference in this happening and a coach not being able to compartmentalize during a press conference with the media outside of the heat of the moment.

Quote:BB turned the season around without saying this stuff in press conferences?

Maybe he should have just said that Brady needs to throw touchdowns and score points in a presser earlier

Gus can do it this week, all he has to say is "We're moving on to Cincinnati" in a deep monotone and Bortles will throw for 400 and 4 TDs!

Are you saying that O'Brien's presser was a "decision to put on an angry facade"? Is that what you mean? I'm not sure.

If so, maybe it was actually just a "moment of honest emotion" because of 3 straight losses and the poor play of his team and NOT a "decision to put on an angry facade".

So Gus' Do Your Job video was just "a moment of honest emotion"? And that's not really who he is?

Is that what you mean?

I'm sad that TMD is banned. It's like going to the zoo only to find out the monkey exhibit is out of service for 6 months.

Well then I would like to see more honest emotion from Gus.

It doesn't have to be all the time, but every once in a while when he feels like the Jags need it, like when he was with Seattle.

That's all I am asking for.

Is that asking for too much from Gus?

5 minutes left in the game...  tinhorns are up by 13 points...  Bill O'Brian decides to run a no huddle and goes three and out!

Yeah, that's some great coaching...  LOL

That's the only fault you could find? Lol.

I also mentioned how they are hiding mallet and going run heavy.

And yeah, it's a pretty big fault.  Clock management is a huge thing in this game called football...  LOL

Lucky they were playing the browns, otherwise that could have killed them.  But yeah, no big deal right.  I mean, it's hard to realize the game situation and how going hurry up offense isn't a good idea when you're trying to win the game at the end.  LOL...

Looks like Seattle might be out of their last few bottles of Gus Juice.

O'Brien has the same amount of wins as Gus in a year's less time. Get off the Gus bus.

With a much more talented and veteran roster even. Amazing how that works!

The same team with no quarterback and got swept by us last year and were picking in front of us in the draft. Amazing how quickly those excuses you brought out gets dusted off to justify that.

Yep, once Shaub et al were moved the Texans went back to being a pretty solid team. I know nuance is hard amongst all that bitterness but you should really give it a shot.

Why would a team not go run heavy when they've got a lead and Blue is averaging 4.3 yds/carry to rack up 156 yards in a game (213 total rushing yards).  Sure it was high risk to go up-tempo there, but a first down puts the game on ice if he makes it, but he didn't.  Earlier we went for it on 4th and 3 and picked up a huge first down due to Mallet's quickfire pass to Andre Johnson.  The jags are too comfortable with Gus's ultra conservative play calling.

Idk if you can read but if you hop on over to the jaguars forum you can find a plethora of posts about people not comfortable with the play calling.
