The Bandwagon Starts Tomorrow

#61

I have been on board since November 30, 1993.  I got a Mark Brunell jersey tucked away in a closet.  Was on when Morten Andersen missed the field goal and stayed on when the tacks came into Alltel stadium on January 23rd, 2000 and took our rightful place in the Superbowl. Definitely on when we went 12-4 in JDR's third year and still on when he cut Byron Leftwich and later David Garrard.  No qualms through the lost year under Mike Mularkey or when we went 0-8 last year.  I'm not going anywhere now.  Smile

Historical side note, in the '99 AFC championship, the Titans also had a player named Josh Evans.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I've believed in Blake since he came on board. I REALLY believed seeing him during preseason.

Been a fan for 18 years... one of the few jags fans in Texas. El paso, tx at that. Will be seeing my first jaguars game this year, in jacksonville, against cleveland. Was holding out hope that Bortles would be playing. Got my wish!

She also told me the Jags aren't winning the Super Bowl this year.

Though, after today's game he may create a new call sign:  JagsRBlake

LOL The "bake" is supposed to be "back" but he never asked a moderator to change it.

Bandwagoners I doubt will be in full force. Regardless I'm in 100%.

Quote:It's the beginning of the Blake Bortles era which will lead us to wins, which will lead to bandwagoners in the near future. Post in this thread and we'll dig this up in the future like a time capsule to know who was there before it all began.
I watched the draft for the first time in years. Begged for the Jags to pick him at #3. I bought his replica jersey before the regular season started.

I knew nothing about this guy named Blake Bortles except he was UCF's starting quarterback, a junior, and expected to be a Top 10 pick. But after watching his introductory presser and reading about him, I was confident he was the right choice for our franchise quarterback.
