Could a loss today start to make the seat a little warm for Gus Bradley?

Quote: Smile.  Fair enough.  I really want Gus to succeed.  Is he the right coach?  I don't know.  I know many pretend to know, but I really don't.
Dude, maybe he's a good CEO type of HC... But for that to happen, he's gonna have to dump 91% of his staff...

He's gotta make some major changes with his staff. It's at least that much that must happen. Maybe also read some books on management... Dude, I don't know...

It's just a really bad situation as I see it.

We should have won that game. It was ours. The coaches held us back. It wasn't the players that lost that game...

Quote:Agreed.  Whether I think his job should be safe doesn't really matter.  In my opinion, he will be our coach next year.  Not my decision.

It's nobody here's decision, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss it.  We discuss all sorts of things that aren't our decision.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Didn't say you couldn't discuss it.  Just giving my opinion.

Well, the last two games our D has held the opponent to 26 total points.  I think that is a pretty big improvement.  Our O-line is killing us and not sure you can say players didn't lose that game.  We had two chances to score with one being a pic and the other a fumble.  Those were on the players.  We also had a chance to make a field goal to win the game and it was block.  That is on the players.  Bortles was sacked 6 times, again on the players.  I think it is completely unfair to say it wasn't on the players.

I thought I saw Mike Mularkey on their sideline. Yep. Ironically enough he is now the Titan's TE coach.

I think Gus would be a good coach to have on a good football team. Even so, I think he gets another year in 2015 to do something, assuming they win at least 4 games this year, which they will.

What four games do you see us having a chance of winning?

This I think really should become a thread!

I was thinking to myself, why not run another play? We had time to throw at least 1 more pass to the sidelines... Again, coaching...

I don't have a problem with kicking it at that point. At that moment, he was assured of getting a chance to kick a winning field goal. Scobee kicks those in warm ups every game and with 12 seconds left on the clock it's assured he gets a shot.

IF, you try to run another play you may not ever get the chance to kick a winning field goal. I'd much rather prefer the first option. Again, you can't criticize the decision based upon the results. You criticize the decision when all the factors are considered.

It's not a hot seat, but it WILL be a hot seat.

He's lucky he has Bortles, who looks pretty incredible. I think Bortles gets a few Ws this year on his own in spite of the coaching staff.

Couldn't agree more. He carried the team on his back today. Once he gets better. He will be winning games on his own.

might be time for gus and co to go. i was all for him getting his third year if there was improvement, but at this stage in the game and just getting embarrassed like this........ cant defend him anymore.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

There is really nothing to defend. The challenge on the sideline catch by Moncrief was another example of poor decision making by Bradley.

The team today is no better than when Mularkey was here two years ago.

There's flames shooting up his [BLEEP] at the moment.  He's done.
