The Ravens already giving up on Arthur Brown?

#1

Quote:<div>The Baltimore Ravens have been as successful a drafting organization as there is in the NFL, but one of their recent high picks apparently can be had.

According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, 2013 second-round linebacker Arthur Brown has been floated in recent trade talks.

Brown was a healthy scratch in Week 1's home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, falling behind the team's first-round pick this season, rookie C.J. Mosley, and veteran Albert McClellan on the depth chart.

Arthur Brown could easily prove to be a better fit as an OLB in a 4-3.

I always thought he'd be best at as an OLB in a 4-3

Since the Ravens could use a RB I'll trade Todman for Brown straight up.

A based 4-3 team probably could acquire Arthur Brown for a 5th Round pick or even lower than that.    Brown's market value isn't helped by the fact that he was on the Game Day Inactive list for Week # 1.

Think he could play mlb in our defense.

Could it be some type of character issue? I haven't heard of him ever being in any trouble.

They also have 2nd rounder Sergio Kindle out of Texas. Too lazy to look up the roster. Im assuming Sergio is still on the Ravens.

If Brown could be had for a good price (5th-6th) I would pay it. Really liked him coming out.

Bernard Pierce is a very good RB.

They won't even sniff at Todman.

True but he's in the doghouse after fumbling last week. He was benched for Forsett, the guy who was beat out by Todman last year.

Kindle hasn't been a Raven for some time. IIRC, he fell down a staircase shortly after being drafted, suffered some major head injuries as a result, and never fully recovered.

Has he suited up for the Ravens yet this year?

I'd give up a 4th for him

I'd absolutely send a 5th to them for him.. gives us great depth and I believe Brown is athletic enough to eventually take over for [BLEEP] in the middle of Bradley's defense. Not as fast as Bobby Wagner and not as strong, but he could most certainly get the job done. He could play all three LB spots in our defense, so immediately great help. I think he could have the potential (if he learned behind [BLEEP] for a few years) to be the long term answer at MLB for us down the road. I loved him coming out of K-State. Couldn't believe how well he stacked and shed for a guy who was only 229 at the time.
