Another Superbowl in Jax?

Quote:A Superbowl in London ! Great idea !

(Only joking of course, that would be like playing the FA Cup final in New York)

Odds are the first Super Bowl the Jags get to play in winds up being in London, or Minnesota.  Wink

Quote:"Potential" and "project". We may even live to see it.

If the Jaguars are still here in twenty years, and I expect them to be, I could see the city making a SB bid. Of course by then the stadium will be pretty old by today's standards and then what happens?

If a new stadium is ever built I could certainly see a SB in our future. If you convince the politicians to help you build a new stadium you're pretty much assured a Super Bowl.

The next time the Jags make a bid for the Super Bowl, odds are it will be with a new stadium.

I think the NFL passing on New Orleans was a subtle way of them reminding cities that new stadiums get Super Bowls and nobody is guaranteed one, not even New Orleans.

San Diego was always in the rotation but haven't had a game in over a decade.

I doubt the game returns to Miami or Tampa until either builds a new stadium.

Atlanta will get one in the next few years because they are building a new one.

And with the renovations being done to Everbank Field, that could easily be 20 years.

I agree. The league hasn't gone to New Oreans 10 times (?) for the gorgeous Superdome. It's the city itself, the food, entertainment etc.

There is plenty of talk of revamping downtown and it is kind exciting to think about. If they can get some of the proposals done including the shipyards and all of the Everbank improvements, then I could see them making a run for another Super Bowl.

It would be awesome if they could revamp the Landing a bit, do something with the shipyards, and then have Bay Street become the go to place filled with bars and restaruants that connects everything. Also would be nice to have the monorail stretch out to the sports complex/shipyards.

Bid will start being to be put in for super bowl. Khan is a business man and is not just trying to host monster truck shows in this city. He is the type that will not settle for less.

College playoffs is definitely in the question though. I can see that happening here very soon.

Go Jaguars! Go Hokies!
