tbgh, as it turned out, you projected two players going to the Jaguars that ended up going to the Lions instead: Kyle Van Noy - Round 2: Pick 40 as a result of the Lions trading up 5 spots from the Seahawks. ). You were only one pick off from the pick # 39 draft spot. Good call on that! The other player going to the Lions on this list is TJ Jones, who was taken in Round 6 with pick # 189.

Being that you are high on Kyle Van Noy as an NFL draft prospect, the question I'm interested in your input is how much do you believe Van Noy's short arms will limit his effectiveness? This is the one aspect regarding Van Noy that really concerns me, especially considering the spot he was taken in, along with trade compensation to go up 5 spots.

I don't think they'll matter much at all. Though he has great quickness and is a good blitzer, he's going to be in coverage more than rushing the passer. Short arms are really most a problem when you're consistently locked up with blockers and he's quick enough that blockers will have a hard time locking him up in space. Also his fundamentals are very good in that he tends to get underneath blockers and force his way into whatever gap is his responsibility. He'll have a lot of trouble two-gapping, but who asks their linebackers to do that anymore in the NFL?
