You continu to use these big words to make yourself look smarter, yet when asked to give a breakdown you freeze. Why is that? I can give a detailed breakdown of my top ten qb's, how about you?2+2=4 will not cut it, neither will stock options! Details please, I'm sick of you treating people like idiots on here.

I'm ready. I already gave a brief one about the top 5 at every position group about 5 months ago before the deadline to declare. I was planning on revising it in a few weeks along with a mock.

I don't like your Andrew Luck example.  If you have 2 elite prospects then there isn't going to be a whole lot of improvement needed to be seen.  They are already at the top.  You'd probably go with the safer pick in that instance.

 

 

Ah but you didnt have that caveat in your post.  It was more of a blanket statement that raw will always trump experience.  But clearly it wont early in the draft.  And clearly it wont when the two talents are equal.


But in the end we've found ourselves at the ultimate question in the draft.  Do you take the uber-productive player that lacks the elite physical skills or do you take the guy with the elite physical skills that doesnt have the production/experience/etc... 

 

If Savage had 4 years of experience and his senior year was the best he could do, I wouldnt be surprised to see Murray go higher.  But since Savage is so inexperienced yet we saw improvement as the year progressed, couple that wit his physical talents, and its no surprise he is moving up draft boards.

With all things being eaual, raw usually trumps experience except in 2 cases. Top picks who share elite physical tools and elite production - you might feel better with the player who has been doing it longer. Later in the draft in instances when your team desires a consistent backup over starter potential - you have Adrian Peterson, but need a reliable Toby Gerhart.
