The NFL does not respect the Jaguars

No.  No they do not.  No they do not.

Quote:Respect shouldn't factor into the application of the rules. But for Jacksonville it's clear they're going to have to win before they get the calls.

Exactly. NFL rules prohibit any kind of bias in either direction. However, sometimes we win or lose games only because of bad officiating. Winning won't help if we need help to win.

Although the refs have done us no favors this year, the self inflicted BS glares more obvious than their deficiencies

I think losing makes one sees the refs more

I believe the calls tend to even out overall

I feel alot of teams know that and tend to play dirty against us knowing they won't be called for it

I'm with you on both of these. But. For the Jaguars this year those calls haven't evened out, particularly not in equally important situations. I strongly believe that at least two wins this season have been turned into losses solely by bad and seemingly partisan officiating, and that this team would be at 5 wins at least by now had that not happened. At the end of the day I don't care about that too much - it probably moved us up the draft board a bit and hastened Gus Bradley's inevitable departure, but it didn't cost us a playoff berth or anything crazy like that. But there were too many game changing decisions going against us. I'm normally a fan of the idea that you need to play well enough to overcome a bit of adversity, and that within a game you'll get bad/missed calls both ways. But this season has been too one-sided, against a team that doesn't yet have the ability to overcome adversity above and beyond their competition.

Nicely stated, Iapetus. Perhaps they realize coach was cloutless so they take liberties. Certain coaches like TC, Reed, Hoody, etc, you know not to mess with em, and call games as evenly as possible.

Duplication. Common Jags get out of misery, please.

We said that last year, and the year before...

This team shoot himself in the foot every game. This is the most undisciplined team I have ever seen, and maybe the dumbest too.

That said, yesterday, Yannick was held all game, and no call.

Did I miss the part where we did something that warranted respect?
