Got released friday.  Do you think if we didn't sign Henne to that contract by now the establishment might have brought him in?  I feel like fitzpatrick is a bit better than Henne and would probably have drawn about the same contract.  I'm pretty sure Ryan takes care of the ball better as well.

He's essentially the same guy as Henne.

No, he's definitely better than Henne. Henne has never thrown more TDs than INTs in a season. Fitzpatrick has only thrown more TDs than INTs in each of the last four seasons.

 

I don't know that he's worth enough to swallow the money the team already wasted on Henne, but he's definitely the better QB between the two.

Neither has Charlie Whitehurst, the guy who replaced Fitzpatrick. But it sure didn't take the coaching staff to long to realize he isn't that good.

Like I said, I don't know that it's worth worrying now that Henne has been made the man by Caldwell, but he is better. Much the way Henne is better than Gabbert but still definitely not good enough Fitzpatrick is better than Henne, but still definitely not good enough.
