Oldest-known Holocaust survivor dies at 110

Alice Herz-Sommer, believed to be the oldest-known Holocaust survivor, died Sunday morning in London at the age of 110, a family member said.

Herz-Sommer recently appeared in an Oscar-nominated documentary, Haaretz.com reported.  The film, “The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life,” is nominated for best short documentary at the Academy Awards.

Steven Spielberg made an interesting point about his desire to make the movie Saving Private Ryan.

We will soon be at the point where everyone who lived through and experienced the various aspects of The Holocaust will be dead.

When that happens, the actual facts will start to get distorted, embellished, and otherwise turned into fiction ( which is what he did BTW... ? ).

Regardless, it is still hard to believe something like this could happen only 70 years ago.

You sure you mean Saving Private Ryan? You sure it wasn't Schindler's List?

By the by ... the D-Day footage in Saving Private Ryan is some of the most amazing film making in the history of cinema.
