Its all about value my friend. Without properly grading a prospect vs his perceived value you end up drafting a punter in the 3rd round.

No... you draft a punter because you are flat out stupid.

According to that video, we were 3rd in the NFC West (38 second mark).

Can't believe I am the first one to catch that....

Funny that he cited Caldwell's time in Atlanta and talked about the dynamic receivers he had there. There's only one problem..that regime took their QB first...then added their 2nd dynamic WR.

Matt Ryan showed who he is without those big WR's this year. Just a guy.

Or his defense was one of the worst in the league? and his offensive line was one of the worst in the league? They lost to Carolina by 1, GB by 1, Ny by 2, Miami by 4, NE by 7, NO by 6 and by 4. That's 7 games by a TD or less.

Put Ryan on the Jags this past year and we go to the playoffs. Wins: Oakland, SD, Tenn x2, Houston x2, Clev, Buff and 1 more win from another game. Thats 9 wins all because of a QB.

A good QB keeps drives alive and gives the defense a rest. How many times did our defense have to come back on the field because our inept offense had another 3 and out.

A receiving corp of Sammy Watkins, Blackmon, Shorts, Sanders, Denard Robinson, and draft TE Ebron with Henne or Gabbert at QB. This offense will be lethal.  The greatest show on turf 2.0.

You lost me at Henne or Gabbert.  Maybe they can put up the greatest show on a clipboard, but they aren't going to do anything, even with a stacked receiving core.

Jags are drafting a QB in the later rounds, which will be Garoppolo, and crossing their fingers and hoping he develops into a above avg NFL QB, ie Tony Romo,  Andy Dalton.

Romo and Dalton?  Those two couldn't be further apart from one another.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Watkins at 3 wouldn't be better value at the pick, IMO.

IMO, the only level of WR I take that high is Megatron.....and Watkins is no megatron. If you aren't taking Bridge, Manziel or Clowney with the selection then trade down.

True, he's not on the level of Megatron, but he's probably that tier below him like Julio.  We took Blackmon at 5 and I didn't think that was bad.  I think Watkins is a bit of a better prospect than Blackmon was too.  I don't see the difference between drafting him at 3 or a few picks later.

I don't see what drafting a WR with Hamneck Henne at the helm is going to do.

I'd rather they draft Watkins' teammate Bryant with one of their gazillion mid-round picks.
