Our best bet is if Texans go passrush or Bortles if the team likes Teddy. I see the Rams trading down because I dont think either Team in the top 4 will address tackle outside of the Rams. My guess is Teddy will be the highest rated QB on the Jags board. Clowney will be the best pasz rusher but of given the choice between either Teddy is the pick. Just my opinion. What do you guys think is the most likely scenario?

I think there is a very good chance the Rams will trade with the Browns and don't see any reason the Texans would want to trade down. So right now I am really worried we will miss out on both Teddy and Johnny.

If we miss out on them then I see light in hoping we take Clowney and take a QB later on. If we take Bortles, I will be deeply saddened.

Why don't you like Blake Bortles?

Because he is a hype train that is going to spiral out of control for the unfortunate franchise that takes him as their QB of the future. Im sorry i just dont see the hype at all.

If people can honestly nitpick Bridgewater and say he's not a franchise QB then how in the world can the same people possibly want us to take Bortles at #3 overall? Bortles isnt trash but he is not a top 10 QB he has size and athletic ability and thats about it. His arm isnt a cannon by any means and at times looks weak IMO. He throws a very inconsistent ball with alot of his WRs and TEs having to twist and turn to make catches instead of finding them in stride (which Bridgewater does masterfully). His screen passes are just as erratic and seem to take a crazy long time to reach the outside WR.

He doesnt adjust plays and make reads anywhere near the amount you want in a top 10 QB especially when the D is clearly showing blitz , gets flustered and starts making jittery questionable throws under pressure (he will take the hit though). Occasionally he makes a nice mid range throw and can complete the deep ball vs single coverage(to be expected at the college level) other than that he lives in the short range throwing tons of curls, crosses and screens that will get attacked at the NFL level.

Sorry i'll take the guy who's on field play clearly shows a mastery of defenses and film room study while still having a consistent adequate arm and mobility vs the guy who is simply big and mobile with a up and down arm.

Don't count out the Jaguars taking Anthony Barr over Clowney. The Jaguars are going to get a close look at Carr and Fales.

I concur that St. Louis has a good chance of trading the second pick to a team that wants a QB or Clowney. The Texas owner has stated that JJ Watt would be an excellent mentor for Clowney. Hopefully, the Texans take Clowney because I think there are only two QB worth taking in the top three selections - Bridgewater and Bortles.

Exactly. This. He's too big of a gamble.
