I think this is actually a realistic possibility, TMD.

I really don't want to see Clowney and Watt on the same team especially if the Texans manage to plug in a competent QB.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Quote:While possible, it also makes you think that they are just trying to maximize as much value from this draft as they can.

If they can trade down and still get a good QB, like Manziel or Bortles, and then enjoy a ton of extra picks for trading down, thats not a bad option. They probably do have their eye on another QB than Teddy, or at the very least aren't going to put all their eggs in one QB's basket, just in case a giant trade offer comes about.

I think they will take Teddy unless they get a trade offer they cannot refuse, so to speak.
This years draft is deep and good players can be found deep into the 3rd and early 4th round especially the OL... the Texans needs some help in that area just like the Jags do... there's some good DB's that will go in the 3rd round too plus some decent WR's... this is a good year to trade down and stock pill some draft picks...

Well the idea is they won't be able to get a competant QB this year if they fail to get Bridge/ Manziel or Bortles in the first round, which if they take Clowney, wouldn't be likely.

But, then again, even that way, they could always then still get Mallett with a 3rd....

Jeez.....its not looking good for us, is it?...

Why do you keep asserting that Mallet will go for a 3rd round pick?  You have absolutely NO idea what his price is, at all.

And secondly..  grow a pair.

Love the Mallet agenda... He's yet to achieve anything and wasn't even a high pick. Not sure how he is even relevant

He's not relevant.  TMD literally pulled Mallet out of his a$rse and is staying with him because he's convenient as an argument.

It's easy making an argument like "I would just trade a mid round pick for Mallet and he could lead us to the superbowl better than any QB currently available"...

It's the equivalent of people posting a mock draft and saying "wait until the 3rd round to pick up Johnny Manziel".... sounds great, likelihood of happening ZERO.
