The best balanced QB not named Teddy

#21

Quote:We can arguably say Carr has the strongest arm, Manziel is the most mobile, Bortles has the best accuracy and Teddy is all of the above. Considering Teddy is off the board who is the best at EVERYTHING not named Teddy?

Who has speed?

Who has leadership?

Who has the best arm?

Who has the best mechanics?

Who can read a defense?

Personally I keep going back to David Fales. Who do you think it is?
Speed...Shaw

Leadership...Shaw

Arm...Shaw

Mechanics...Shaw

Quote:I'd take Shaw in the 4th or 5th. I like him a lot and this game proved how much of a gamer he is. Impressive.

You guys think he likes Shaw?

LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

Lol. I'm a SC homer. So what? The guy can play the game.

Quote:I don't get what you mean by balanced. Franchise QBs traditionally have something about their game that is an undeniable strength.

Peyton Manning has fantastic intelligence and game-directing skills.

Tom Brady has a knack for winning in the fourth.

Drew Brees has ridiculous accuracy and intangibles.

There are only three QBs in this draft that I personally consider to have some sort of fantastic trait about them:

Teddy's is his fantastic pre-snap reads and accuracy.

Manziel's is his preternatural sixth sense and ability to evade behind the LOS, in addition to his "give 100% every down" mentality.

Carr's is his phenomenal arm strength and out of sight leadership skills. (Although he needs to do better against pressure for me to even consider drafting him)
I think you should add Bortles to your list for his clutch factor, He led his team in the fourth in the last minutes of the game this year on several occasions to win the game. If he would have done it against SC it would be undeniable and I think he would be providing Teddy with more competition for the first QB taken.

The QBs I'd like in order are

Bridgewater

Shaw

Carr

Manziel

Bortles

If we can get one of them I'd be happy.

I think you got literally every single one of these wrong.

^ Manziel has the lowest 40 time, so that's 1 for 1.

Quote:“Tajh Boyd is a great guy. You can ask everyone on this field the same question, and you’ll probably get the same answer,” Clemson junior wide receiver Adam Humphries said. “Say we’re standing around the lobby, he’ll never be in one place. He’s always moving around and just making sure everybody on the team knows he appreciates what they do, even scout team or starters. He’s a guy I’ve looked up [to]. I always have.”

…good (not great) arm strength who understands touch

Maybe he doesn't have as strong an arm as others, but I've never noticed it. I may have been a little off on this one.

Throws on the run very well, using optimal mechanics

When the first sentence following pros for a prospect starts with "optimal mechanics" I think I can score that one in my favor. 3/4

As far as quick reads, that's something that you just have to watch a lot of cutups to get a good feel for, but I can assure you that both guys do an optimal job. Bortles sometimes doesn't have to make more than one read, but it usually is the correct one. I'd love to see your best stab at evaluating talent, since you obviously have no clue what you're talking about if you think that these are all misplaced.
