It's been a long, long, time since I've seen this much positivity on the forum.

I guess that's the benefits of having a team that is actually winning, and is showing constant signs of improvement

It's truly a shame though, that if the Jags lose this next game against Houston, it's going to evaporate very quickly. The tankers could be back in full force, TMD would be claiming that he thought this team should have just mailed in the season and gone 0-16, and that these last 3 out of 4 wins have done us more harm than good.

I'm still rooting for the first pick in the 2014 draft.  Yes, I'm hoping we lose out.  Yep, I said it.

I don't like you. I don't like the tankers. I don't like the winners. I don't like the world. We're all going to die. War. Death. Famine. Pestilence. Your wife/gf or husband/bf is cheating on you.

Enough negativity for you bro? Tongue

For some, getting a "W" at this point in the season makes you an even bigger loser.

Can emotions really evaporate or is this perhaps just a figure of speech?

Tears can. Is that close enough?

Well, nobody's going to be happy anymore, that's for sure.

Even solid matter evaporates.  Or something like that.  Not sure what state of matter an emotion is, or figures of speech.  But if they are gas they are already evaporated I think.

OK, I need to sit down.  Wait a minute, I AM SITTING DOWN.

Well, given that emotions are primarily a result of the arousal of the nervous system, I would argue that emotions are tied strongly to energy. I would also argue that emotions do not have a set shape or volume (i.e. you can have mixed emotions, and you can be a little bit angry, or ready to tear the head off of the next living thing you see angry). So now we'll run through the states of matter:

Solids are of definite shape and definite volume. That pretty much eliminates emotions from being solid matter.

Liquids are of definite volume (independent of pressure) but not of definitive shape. That means that they are a better candidate than solids, but still not quite there.

Gases are neither of definite shape nor volume. We have a winner, right? Wrong, they have little to do with energy.

Plasma is neither of definite shape nor volume. So, what separates it from a gas? Well it is electrically conductive, is capable of responding to electromagnetic forces, and is capable of producing magnetic fields and electric currents. The combination of this leads me to believe that, out of the four traditional states of matter, emotions are most like a plasma.

SCIENCE! Kind of. Not really. But it was fun.

:o I didn't mean to overload you. I hope you can forgive me after the doctors clean up the overflow. Just don't read my previous post, I'd hate for this to become a vicious cycle.

Emotions aren't matter.  BOOM!

Well, that clearly is the case. It is far less fun than making abstract comparisons between the two for the hell of it, though.
