Oh yeah because we all know Bridgewater is going to be the best QB transition this off season. I dont want to lose to make you feel good about a darn draft pick. I care about the franchise now not in the future.

I care about the franchise in the future too. But people need to stop thinking they have to choose between present and future success. The truth is you have to hope for success both now and later - that is, if you are really a Jaguars fan.

 

Should I change my avatar to not look so similar to yours?

Which I am doing. I think about the Jaguars making some progress in Denver and being only two turnovers away from winning in St. Louis. I want to see that improvement continue throughout 2013, not "tanking for Teddy" like so many other "fans" say they should, because even he will look bad if we don't improve the rest of our offense.

Considering the quarterback position is the weakest part of the offense and Teddy Bridgewater is the best QB in the draft, do you honestly believe it isn't progressive for fans to hope for the #1 pick in order to select him?

 

I don't believe it's fair to say that a Jags fan that is hoping for the #1 pick in the draft after watching one of the worst starting QBs in NFL history sling the ball for two and a half seasons isn't a "real fan".

 

I'd agree with you if managing an NFL team were that black and white, but it isn't.

When I say people are not real fans when they want the Jaguars to lose,  I am saying part of being a fan is always wanting them to win no matter what. We don't have to be the worst team in the NFL to get the #1 pick. Did you not know we have extra picks to use to trade up? There also is no guarantee the top pick will be a quarterback.

Its funny. The Jaguars may have the worst record. But they are not the worst team. Right now the Jaguars would beat the Vikings on a neutral field. I think they could beat the Bucs too.
