Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger Believes They Are ‘Worst Team In The League’

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger believes they are ‘worst team in the league’

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bad. How bad, you ask?

Well, Pittsburgh is currently 0-4 after a 34-27 loss against the Minnesota Vikings in London. The last time Pittsburgh was winless through its first four games was 1968. While it is dangerous to count a team out after four games, Pittsburgh's chances of making the playoffs this season are slim-to-none.

That is pretty disappointing for any team to admit in September. It also had to be equally as hard for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to confess his revelation after the game

The Steelers would beat the Jaguars by 24 points on a bad day.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Aww, that's nice of him to say.

...On the other hand, I wonder if he just doesn't realize we exist.

I could not believe he said that on a day that was statistically pretty good (30+ completions for 383 yards and a touchdown) except for an interception and a fumble. It was a close game too - something we still have not had yet. So what i they lost to another previously winless team? Minnesota obviously is not as bad as Jacksonville.

Someone please explain how Big Ben of all players does not know why we had the second overall draft pick in April and that we are even worse this year.

Exactly.

I'm sure if someone asked him "What about Jacksonville? They've been outscored by by about 70 points... in the first half," his response would be "who?"

This is basically my take as well. With a combination of frustration mixed in on the part of ' Big Ben' . This is a QB that has started on 2 Super Bowl winning teams and started in a 3rd Super Bowl. An 0-4 start to the season is something that is likely a shock to the vast majority of people associated with the Steelers, including their fans.

A sliver lining for the Steelers is all 3 of the other teams in the AFC North are 2-2. The Steelers have 5 more divisional games. How they respond in the games right after their bye will determine if they can turn their season around.

Keep in mind all three Super Bowl teams featured different players. He no longer has some of the guys who were starters in those three Super Bowls including Hines Ward and James Harrison. That said, most likely it is frustration from being in uncharted territory - the Steelers have not been 0-4 since 1968 - that made him think his team is the worst.

maybe he's lost to the Jags so many times, that he couldn't imagine them being worst than his team.

If they were, several of the minor league teams would circle them as wins on the schedule.

Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Impossible. He knows the Jaguars team that beat him in the past had David Garrard and Fred Taylor. One of those losses, we did not score a touchdown either despite playing at home. Also this is Gus Bradley's first year as a head coach and David Caldwell's first year as a geneal manager, so everyone knew we would be terrible after purging the roster.

Wait... he said "We're the worst team in the league" not "The Steelers are the worst team in the league"

Maybe we traded for him and it hasn't been announced yet because ESPN ignores everything Jags related unless it has to do with the anointed one.

I guess its true that Big Ben doesn't watch much Jaguar football.... what a shame.

I've got a jersey for him if he wants to come to the darkside.

He would be grinning ear to ear if he saw us play.

I don't blame him for not watching us. With the Steelers being as bad as they are, their quarterback needs to work overtime Tuesday-Saturday.
