Jags Offer Free Beer To Sell Tickets

#21

I just saw a a link to Bleacher Report from CNN's homepage that made us out to look "desperate" to sell tickets. Right on the homepage of a worldwide news source.

Yes our team is bad - but when they want to pour it on the Jag fans as well, I get a bit grumpy. Would have been nice to mention we haven't had blackouts ... while SD and Tampa and others have had a few.

I thought offering free beer would get some praise from folks out there. Talk about a sweet precedent to set ....

I suppose if they just keep saying it ... the perception will always be we "struggle."

This is reality until we start winning. Just ignore it and keep moving.

I went to college with a guy back in Massachusetts who was considered "desperate" with women by almost every single person who heard his name. Now if he wanted to, he could get any girl he wants to. His name was Howard Stern. How did that label change? SUCCESS. Same goes for the Jags. It's that simple.

The Bleacher Report, just like every other news outlet, has beat the Jags down for years now because the team has been bad... so atleast this is something new for them to nitpick over...

Yep. One of many anecdotes I share as a Public Communications major at Boston in the mid 70's.

So is this for everyone now, or just to the people that bought tickets in the 3 hour window the other day?

I've got tickets, but the last 10 games I've been to, this free beer scheme has just reminded me that I've felt shafted as I walked out of the stadium.

Have you ever hear the phrase...."if your going to screw me over.... buy me a drink first....".

Kahns buying everyone two drinks...hahahah

I've stil got 5 cold IPA's from yesterday, two free seats in Section: Livingroom, Row: Couch, Seats: H&D

So, if you really have season tickets, then you know you have all sorts of additional perks that make the $16 in free beer look like peanuts, right?

So, tell us why you feel shafted exactly?
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Beer didn't cut it --- can you all offer up some free crack or meth to sit in the stadium on Sundays?

Last 10 games?  They've only offered this promotion 2 out of the 4 games this year....
