What's The Deal With Kaepernick?

#21

Quote:I knew you would turn this into a Gabbert debate, I never mentioned Gabbert. I was replying to your question, you are indeed a strange person.

Who's having a debate, just noting how interesting it is how guys are perceived.

Kaepernick to me looks like he's a guy on a great team who so far has been able to contribute with his athleticism rather than leadership. Nothing overly impressive about him, but since he's on a stacked team he gets credited as a great pick.

Quote:It's interesting how when it's Kaepernick throwing 3 picks and 130 yards in his third season it's that the team around him that went to the Superbowl and made Alex Smith look good is bad, but when it's Gabbert struggling on a much lesser roster that went 2-14 last year it's him that's bad.
Kaep doesn't even have 16 starts yet.  Sure he still has moments where he struggles and is far from a finished product, but even with the small number of games played, he has a future in the NFL and has shown much more potential than Gabbert has even come close to showing.

As for Gabbert, MOVE ON.  It's a done deal. There isn't a single coach, GM or fan of the NFL (except maybe for you) who would pick Gabbert over Kaepernick.  Seems as though 99% of the board has already moved on, why is it so hard for you to see that Gabbert is just that, a bust -- a third string at best QB.

Quote:Kaepernick has no weapons at wideout, and Harbaugh is vastly under using Gore.

Yeah, what's up with that? Is Harbaugh convinced Kaep can carry the team?

Harbaugh and Trent Baalke made a mistake by playing Aldon Smith yesterday, especially considering Smith's history. That's a bad message they sent to the team...if you get a DUI and busted for possession of weed, you'd better be a star on the team if you want to play.

The young man needs help, I'm glad he's getting it. His rehab should have started Saturday.

I thought Animal was the drummer. Gonzo was the blue one with the hooked beak.
