Even you can see the double standard going on at ESPN and it is thick.

Yes, I can see ESPN's double standard, as clearly as I see your false equivalency.

You don't see the double standard when a "conservative" from ESPN says ESPN has become too political is put on leave, but Hill has nothing done to her for this comment?

I get that every side wants to be right, but people acting like this is ok is pretty ridiculous.

If an ESPN reporter made a similar post about Obama when he was in office that was that inflammatory they would have been let go immediately.

I'd prefer it if no one was fired for his or her political stance, but if it's going to be the standard for people on the Right then in fairness it must be the same for those on the Left. Because it so frequently has not been an equal standard, people like me who only care about equality must be on the offensive with the same zeal as those on the Left else we continue the unequal punishment of just the one side of the spectrum.

TLDR: What's good for the goose is good for the Lefty.

Agreed. I'll give an example. Linda Kohn the white female sportscaster on ESPN got suspended because she said that people at her job are talking about politics too much. ESPN response was suspension and I can guarantee it was because she was white.

It really has nothing to do with being white or black, imo.....its the side of the political spectrum they are on.

This has David Duke and the alt right talking in Trump's ear all over it.

This is the truth!
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

She and her co-host are both racists.
I just choose to ignore her.

But that's just me.

Trump called Obama a racist via a tweet (because you know there's a tweet for everything). What's the difference?

There is none, he should be fired from his job at ESPN.

ESPN has the NFL through 2021. I assume if things keep going how they are going with ESPN introducing politics into their broadcasting along with where streaming is headed, the NFL will not associate with ESPN after the contract expires. It will probably be Amazon or something.

After this happens, an already sinking ship is going to sink to the bottom of the ocean for good.

Unfortunately, the NFL doesn't care one iota about the political viewpoints being shared on ESPN.  All the league cares about is the bottom line, and if ESPN puts up the highest bid for the product, they'll continue their long relationship with the Disney companies.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Agree it is all about the money for the NFL, but something tells me they will get vastly outbid by someone like Amazon who will want to stream the games. We have awhile to wait and see though.

That is all fine and good but at the rate their political beliefs keep overriding the product they are telecasting and as they continue to alienate roughly 1/2 of the country how long can they afford to pay the NFL to carry their product?

Now Jemele Hill is calling out Dez Bryant for making a joke about not visiting Blaze Pizza because a waitress said she didn't like the Dallas Cowboys and insinuating he wont take a stand against racism

Dez Bryant has always appeared to be a hot head and I've never been a huge fan, but he handled this very well. He has changed my opinion of him and Jemele has further made me dislike her. Instead of reporting news and giving honest takes, she takes the look at me approach and wants to generate controversy.

The Emmy's may have had the lowest rating in history because of all the Trump talk. When will Hollywood and the networks smarten up and realize the people are over this garbage? They are there now to create news instead of reporting it and the stupid people of the world are dumb enough to believe it.
