Barry Church with the game ball.  He did play a heck of a game and its so nice to have him as our SS instead of Cyp.  One of the biggest reasons our secondary is so good. What was our weakest link is now a strength

Ok Church is the man and this is well deserved, but man... that run stop by Yannick when he was on the ground but some how launched and took out Mixon was awesome! I still don't understand how he got the momentum to knock the runner down from that position.

Defense as a whole deserves the ball..hell, the whole team deserves the game ball. Even with a punt return for a TD the time of possession was shifted heavily in Jax favor. Bortles on third down was amazing

Crazy how Linder just comes back like he never missed a snap. Love it.

Me, as well. The man must have glutes of spring steel. He just clenched up and launched.

Barry is a very smart football player. He is wonderful at diagnosing plays and is a leader both on and off of the field. This guy is a huge upgrade over Cyprien. He is a Tom Coughlin type player-very smart and tough who is a very hard worker. A+ free agent signing.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I think that was definitely a Tom move.  Tom played Church twice a year so he knew what he was getting

So true.
I think Hays Carlyon gave the best possible explanation for the play:

AND he was playing out of his natural position without the benefit of even one rep in practice at RG,
AND he took on one the of the best 3 technique DT's in the game in Geno Adkins and totally neutralized him

Linder should be an all pro this year.  Worth every penny.

I knew it from the moment I saw his reaction video to be signed by the Jags. He genuinely looked humble.

He made his presence felt indeed.  Pass pro looked particularly firm.

But I think they planned the Oline configuration before gameday.  Shatley stated he was notified he'll remain at Center on Friday after practice...

Am I the only one that remembers Linder played guard long before he was moved to Center? He was a guard in college and here for the most part. He was better at G than he was at C, and I think he is staying at RG too.

That wouldn't bother me a bit.

Defense only recorded 2 sacks and 0 turnovers but only gave up that one flukey pass play where Jack got hit by his own player then the ensuing TD run. Outside of those 2 plays and that one drive it was like a couple of first downs and that was it for the game for the Cincy offense who seemed to barely be on the field. This game was about the offense and its ability to convert 3rd downs. This is what determines a good offense from a horrible one. We had that one bad turnover in the red zone again so that has to stop but outside of that the offense was extraordinarily efficient.
No pain, no gain.
