John Gruden-isms

#1

Gruden is quickly becoming Madden 2.0 with his commentary. I've heard these already tonight:

"This young guy is something. He just seems to develop more with the more snaps he plays."

As a replay shows Wilson looking right at Lockett "I have to wonder if Wilson even saw Lockett. You have a 5'11 QB throwing to a 5'9 receiver. I wonder if he even saw Lockett"

Just need a "BOOM!" and the transference will be complete.

Clay Mathews man.......he just sacks you with Miiiiind man. (Shakes head yes)

Gruden was fun when he first hit the booth, but now, everybody is an all pro and he acts like he's never seen a 5'11 qb compete a pass to a 5'9 WR.

Your right, he is becoming like Madden. I have no issue with that tho, I liked Madden. If your getting too worked up about the commentary over those kind of comments, probably not a good game anyway.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Oh not worked up. I think they're hilarious. They're just spot on for Madden these days.

Mea Culpa. I was having some transferance from all the commenters I see complaining about him after every article. I don't understand why people complain about gamecasters so much in general, they all do a decent job relating whats going on the field and pointing out little extra stuff.

Of course, if your listening on radio then I understand completely, the annoucer makes a big difference then.

I listened to the Lions/Packers game on XM and the announcer was ridiculously detailed. Even so much to say what hand Stafford would use to point out the defense.

Stafford is vigorously indicating with the index finger of his right hand!
