Giving up 28 ppg, I doubt they win 2 more.

Lets look at some games:


vs KC: 19 PA (all points surrendered were from turnovers and field position giving KC possesions starting on the Jags end of the field). Jags defense held them to 4 straight FGs in those instances.

vs Houston: 24 PA (actually 17 PA, as Bortles surrendered 7 PA himself). Jags also caught a lucky break after the foot-bounce INT, the defense held the Texans to a FG attempt that the kicker missed).

vs Baltimore: 19 PA (actually 16 PA, as Bortles fumbled the ball in Jax territory while rolling left,, giving the Ravens a free 3 points). Defense even gets 3 turnovers in Ravens territory in the 4th qtr,, and the offense couldn't even get a 1st down.

vs Chicago: 16 PA (defense held them to 6 points in 2nd half,, Jags luckily had enough to win late, after announcers dogged Bortles and the offense for doing not much of anything almost 3 full qtrs.

*side note - defense also held Green Bay to 6 points in the 2nd half (winning football, making halftime adjustments), but the Jags couldn't capitalize.

Defense has been better, playing well enough to win in at least 5 games this year. SD, OAK, TENN, they looked horrible, just like the offense.
