You said we basically didn't run anymore...when actually we ran on every first down.

Our interior was clogged the entire second half and the run was shutdown. Partly due to the predictability of us running on every single first down.

Running on 1st down is okay. But it cannot be between the tackles every time. You need some off tackles, sweeps, tosses, jet sweeps, etc all with different formations to keep them on their toes forcing New England to play sideline to sideline.

Coming out of the half, I was really looking forward to the Jags attacking them on the edge since the Pats looked slow and undersized in that aspect and using the side to side to wear them down leading to Fournette pounding it in between the tackles.

Many of you know that I've defended Hackett all season because I like the way he was helping Bortles make fewer mistakes, and he showed he can script some creative drives early in games.

Well -- The second half of that AFC champ. game has me rethinking my stance on the guy.

Abandoning what was working for just stubbornly pounding the rock was not the way to go there. Yes, it worked a cpouple of times this season, but this was a game in which you cannot relent on offense and expect your defense to win it. (Especially when your D is calling all of that zone coverage)
