If the Pats take Rudolph, I'll be sick. It'll be like the Colts going from Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck or the San Antonio Spurs going from David Robinson to Tim Duncan.

Hahahahaha, relax.

Rudolph is likely the 5th QB of the board. He ain't Tim Duncan and he ain't Andrew Luck.

I'm not necessarily saying he is, but for a franchise like New England, who has more or less formed a dynasty under Tom Brady to land a QB the caliber of Rudolph, would almost be unfair. I believe he will be a very good NFL QB. Nowhere near Tom Brady, but good enough to keep the Pats in the playoffs after Brady would retire. I am hoping they choose a "dud" and fall completely out of contention. I'm sick of seeing them in the playoffs and certainly sick of seeing them in the Superbowl.

I disagree. 110%.

Kessler was a 3rd round pick just a couple years ago.. he is 24... he has game experience and I think I saw he was 2nd in the league behind only Tom Brady in passer rating while under pressure. It's hard to be any good with the Browns. I think Kessler is the PERFECT backup because he is young enough that he has a lot of development to go but he also has experience. Just don't know what you gain by taking another QB in the 3rd or 4th round. Feels like a wasted pick.

I want someone who can actually compete for the starting job. I believe Mike White or possibly Kyle Lauletta could be someone who could possibly be an upgrade from Bortles.

idk I just think Kessler has already surpassed what either of those two QB's hope to accomplish.

Not taking away anything from Kessler as I know little about him, but I'm with you on the Mike White flier.  I do think he may be able to round out his game enough to be an alternative in 2019. Especially if he's there at #129.

Developmental guy w/o too many issues that projects to be a quality backup and maybe more.

Absolutely.

With most of the stud TEs still on the board, with Hernandez still on the board, for us to go Kirk there would leave me shaking my head.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
