Nonesense.  The basic tenant of the free market is that as the # of suppliers increases, the options and quality for consumers increases while the overall price decreases.

I stream NFL Sunday Ticket all the time, yesterday on my phone as I drove through Georgia. No data charge for DirecTV/AT&T wireless subscribers. At home I prefer streaming on my PC.
