Just got Madden 17 today, playing that stupid hypothetical situation of an opening they have (Rams Vs. Redskins) in a playoff game. The bottom scoreboard has us going 10-6 and beating a 12-4 Jets in the playoffs. How likely do you think that is to happen, lmao.

I bought Madden 16 and was so angry at that opening crap where you have to play as the steelers...I tried turning the game off and back on, hoping it would skip that awful intro. It didnt, I had to watch it all again, it wouldn't let me throw a pick like I wanted to with that serial rapist Ben Roethlisberger, I turned it back off, haven't played it since, and am now done with the madden franchise forever.

Its the best Madden yet. Love the run game now, it feels really authentic. Also the deep passing requires you to actually think about it.


The only negative is the pass rushing. There's only one animation for a failed pass rush (the spin into the blocker) it looks really stupid when it happens on every play.

Good to hear, honestly I was a bit hesitant about buying it for full price because of the last few. But so far I've been pleasantly surprised. As a player who usually Sims his Franchise games, I very much like the "Play the moment" feature they've added. Bit frustrating seeing teams drive down the field with ease at times (Green Bay had 6 straight runs to Eddie Lacy for 5 or more yards at one point) but overall I like just being able to Sim the majority of the game yet still have an easier time to jump into the game. The practice system seems a lot better and the practice squad is pretty interesting although I'm not sure if it serves any practical purpose yet. Gameplay definitely feels a lot better although it seems waaaaay to easy to block kicks and the like.
