Week 16-Sunday Evening/Night Games

I know a lot of these games are almost finished but I wanted to discuss them and the results. Especially since some of them have playoff implications. There are definitely some interesting things going on right now. For starters the Cowboys have not played well in their game and almost look like they have given up. Granted there is still a whole quarter left to play, but they aren't playing with enough urgency. Zeke took himself out of the game (and reportedly he's been doing that all season), Dak missed a big throw and they aren't gelling well in a game they really need to win. On the other end the Eagles are playing hard and are really fighting for their playoff lives.

Carson along with players like Miles Sanders are playing very hard to try and get Philly the win. In particular I am impressed with Miles Sanders. He has been looking good and has been a doing a really nice job of keeping the Eagles afloat with all of the injuries that they have. I could see them winning this game. Though, even if they do, they still have to win next week and/or the Cowboys have to lose to the Redskins. I think that the Giants will be a harder match up for the Eagles, than the Cowboys going against the Redskins.

Though at this point (especially if the Eagles keep playing the way they have) I think that they deserve to get into the playoffs over the Cowboys. The Cowboys have lost too many games they shouldn't have and have really underperformed in spite of all of the talent on their team.

Also, Kyler Murray is currently questionable with a hamstring injury in the Cardinals game against the Seahawks. (Brett Hundley is in now). And the Raiders are beating the Chargers. The Raiders still have a chance to make the playoffs if they win today's game and next week. But they need some other things to happen including the Colts beating the Jags next week.

Great win for the Eagles. I was impressed with their effort especially considering all of the injuries they have dealt with. And them also playiing players who had been on the practice squad. They definitely deserved to win that game and the Cowboys definitely deserved to lose it. The Cowboys were anemic and did way too little in this game. It also seemed like the team had given up through the game (an exception being Randall Cobb who was fighting to try and help them come back towards the end). Now all the Eagles have to do is beat the Giants, next week, but that actually might not be that easy.

Daniel Jones very played well today and threw four TD's and he has quite a few games this year where he has thrown a lot of TDs. I could see the Giants giving the Eagles a fight next week. As far as the Cowboys go, I think they can beat the Redskins, but they might be facing Case Keenum at QB instead of Dwayne Haskins who went out of today's game with an injury. I could see Case doing more against them (though Dwayne has been showing improvement) but I would still give the Cowboys the edge of them. The Eagles just need to continue to play hard and hopefully for them they will make the playoffs.
