The 2 point conversion attempt today is a metaphor for Marrone.

I think 99% of fans were scratching their heads at this.

1. We kick the extra points and go up by 3. (This came back to bite the jags)  For some just insane reason, Marrone goes for 2.

2. We accept the penalty that nets us 1 yard.  Common sense would say, ok we are going to try to run Robinson for 1 yd.

3. Despite Robinson killing them most of the game, The call is an outside jump route throw?  [BLEEP]?

There seems to be no Rhyme or reason for the play calling at times.  This is not the first time Marrone has made a questionable call this year that cost the team a win or atleast a potential of winning.  Speaks volumes!  Gruden can be blamed for the stupid call but it's Doug's call about going for 2.   I still do not understand the logic there.

I agree, but I’m glad the call was made. 1) we lose and maintain draft position; 2) he sealed his fate even more. It’s a win-win.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Marrone shouldn't shoulder the entire blame. After our last touchdown while going for 2 to tie the game, Glennon had a WIDE Open lane to run it in. It should've been a NO Brainer.

Glennon runs like a newborn giraffe, and literally pulled up to attempt a bad throw instead of trying for those roughly 4 yards.

I cheered the incompletion, I'll admit. At this stage, I am perfectly satisfied with a close loss.

I still don't know why we attempted the first 2pt attempt, maybe Marrone had his cheat sheet upside down? That, or Rosas is miserable from 40, and they knew the PAT would be a risk.

I still don't know why we attempted the first 2pt attempt,
Marrone trying to figure out how to save his job with GUTSY play calling. Like going for 2 needlessly or kicking onside kicks on the first kick off last week

It's common for coaches to go for 2 after a penalty, so I don't fault Marrone.

Gruden's play call was the ridiculous part.

How do you not put the ball in your best player's hand, who has been gashing their defense, to get you that 1 yard?

Gruden is incompetent.

I wasn't a fan of the call.  I would have kept the one point on the board.  I told my wife "well they're 1-9, what have they got to lose?".  I also predicted at the time that it might come back to bite them.  Oh well... at least the game was entertaining and not a blow out.

Glennon was never going to run in for that 2 points. Don't blame him he would have got killed.
