Jaguars Fall to 28th in Power Rankings

30th per NFL, which sounds about right. Until this team convincingly beats another team (and not just because the other team missed a field goal at the end), they shouldn't be considered in any way or shape to be "formidable". In my eyes they are 32nd, until they can prove otherwise. Heck, Browns are considered worst team and Crowell pulls off 85 yard touchdown last week. When's the last time we did anything like that? I'm setting the bar pretty low, so I expect the Jags to prove me wrong.

Generous.  30th makes sense.

Rams may be 1-1 but they've kicked 3 FGs so far this year... that's their total points...  Defense or not, we're better than them.

Browns are... well.. the Browns.  They played 1 Quarter of quality Football, and caught Baltimore sleeping.  That ended on the extra point from the 3rd TD.

Other than that... I can't call us better than any other team in the league.

29th in the AP -PRO32

Quote:The Associated Press began the AP Pro32 NFL power rankings in 2012. A national panel of 12 voters will participate in the selection process this year. Each voter is among the 50 sports writers and broadcasters who choose the NFL's individual awards at the end of the season. All of the voters have an extensive background in covering the NFL. Some of them — Tony Dungy and Herm Edwards — played and coached in the league. Others — Jim Miller — played in the league.

The fact that we had to play against 2 teams that had their starting QBs active doesn't help.

Last year we faced a lot of backups which evens the playing field to a certain extent.

Yep, old Gus had the team almost looking competitive against the league's backups last season. How could Khan not bring him back?

So you're stating the Rams can beat SEATTLE NORTH but they would not have a chance against SEATTLE SOUTH ?

If Rams > Seattle and Jags > Rams, then Jags > Seattle

What's going to happen when they lose to Flacco by 30 this week? Will Gus even be permitted back on the sideline after the first half if they're down 3 or 4 scores again?

The Flat Gus Effect: The Final 'Toony, coming soon to a half empty Everbank Field near you!

I think we should celebrate by adding some new features to the stadium next year: the Gene Smith Urinalarium and the Gus Bradley Stall Row. Put THAT in The Pride.

God. Another top 5 pick. I honestly can't even imagine that. That's so bad.

I hope it doesn't come to that.

If we end up with a top 5 or 3 pick man what the heck do you take with it. New coach may want his own guy at qb ugh. Blake turn it around this week come on.

I usually wear a Jags jersey or polo to work on Fridays before game day...I did not do that last week.  The SD loss is on me guys.  My bad.

I think the team has hit a new low point.  Wallbash

Man, the Jags have been hitting news lows consistently since 2012.

I know Gus got here in 2013, but he's still responsible for most of those new lows.

If there is anyone who isn't to blame for what we saw on the field against the Chargers, it's the fans.

I'm surprised we're over the 49ers, although I have the Jaguars at #28 as well. I got the 49ers a bit higher, but I do have the Jaguars over the Saints. Wins over the Ravens and Colts will surely rectify a lot putting the Jaguars right back in the mix.

This is almost as meaningful as preseason college polls.
