The more you think about it the more this looks like Meyer's Florida stint. A Messianic QB surrounded by a circus. I sure hope he gets the same kind of success before his health falters again.
“An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
Good read that cuts through the noise a bit.
Sure hope the kid is as advertised and Meyer figures out how to make it all click.
"The media circus this is sure to create might actually be a positive … the less attention lasered in on Lawrence and his development the better, because, in the end, the quarterback is nearly everything in the NFL."
This is what I keep going back to. Meyer is a master manipulator and I want to think the plan is to keep the attention off of Lawrence during the early days. I prefer thinking that then thinking Meyer actually believing Tebow can play TE at this level.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

What if it turns out he brought him in for a distraction and it turns out he can also play TE? How crazy would that be? lol.
Wet blanket time....
The real issue is the franchise not assembling a supporting cast to let the new QB hit the ground running. So Meyer gets a built in pass for 1 or 2 years because it will take time to mold things his way. Meanwhile if he isn't up to the task the talent acquisition is going to continue to be subpar. I hope Trevor is the type of talent that natural elevates the subpar and can be the rising tide that covers franchise faux pas. Honestly the franchise has not focused well on the field. Wait and see and let the circus continue.

If he somehow transformed himself into a competent TE, I'd be shocked and all the credit would have to go to that staff. With that said, naaah, not gonna happen. ![]()
