He's 2 weeks away from only turning 21. Hasn't even entered his physical prime yet. He's going to be really, really good. Just like most people thought he would coming out of college.

Barring injury, there's no reason he shouldn't be an elite LT in this league for at least the next 10+ years. He's a natural.

Taylor is a fine player, but he needs to be moved to RT or traded. Sewell is the future and the future is now for the Lions at LT.

Cleatwood and Eric, I think you are both correct in your assessment of Penei Sewell, including that he should remain at LT.   The complicated aspect is Taylor Decker hasn't played or practiced at RT in the NFL and at the very least in his last few seasons he was Ohio State. 

Taylor Decker is coming off a Pro Bowl caliber season but injured his hand in practice the Wednesday before the opener vs. the 49ers. He's eligible to come off IR this week but Dan Campbell said it's highly unlikely Decker will play in Chicago this coming Sunday.

Because Decker is still dealing with the hand injury, he's not cleared to practice.  It would be difficult during the season for Decker to make the transition to RT.  It's much easier to picture it happening in the coming off season.  It's possible Decker could be traded during the season, though the release of LB  Jamie Collins today, by itself is a significant salary cap hit
