Do it.  Who cares about the CoC? It doesn't matter that I've never broken it.  Think about how good it would feel to exercise that power they gave you.
You could even delete the thread.  And tell people I got verbally abusive.  No one would know!

Lol, you think I'm as dishonest as you are? Hardly.

Oh I don't think that at all.  I know you're far more dishonest than me.  I could never live with myself if I was as dishonest as you are.

Cute. And yet, for all the disagreements we've had, you're still here somehow. Almost like your caricature of me as a moderator is just another one of your fabrications.

I actually have no idea how you moderate.  I've been a good boy, so I haven't needed to be moderated. I just think it's bad when the moderators get all personal. Moderating under an alt would fix that, then you could get all personal with me without the moderator badge giving it an additional layer of bullying.

In seriousness, you are a witty individual.  "Brevity is the soul of wit." But by definition a witty statement is missing context or other aspects of the "whole truth".  This is why I can say I'm more honest than you.  I don't mean any malice.  You are what you are and I am what I am.

Therein is the rub. If I was a bad moderator as you suggest then you'd already be gone regardless of what you have or haven't done, just because your nonsense irritates me personally. On the flip side, some consider me a bad mod because you're still here, because your nonsense irritates them personally. You're entitled to think whatever you want, but what you think has little bearing on reality. But if you think I do this out of malice, that's a mistake. I do it in an attempt to create a sense of self awareness within you about how your hubris always overrides your good sense and rubs people the wrong way. But that will always be a losing proposition since, in your mind, you are the good guy (or in this case the victim of "bullying"). I'll never be able to overcome the arrogance of your self image, no matter how much I rub your nose in that fact that it's just an illusion. But that's ok; I'm not paid enough to be your shrink, just enough to be your foil.

The piece I read somewhere yesterday about a legitimate medically non-binary person said the same thing. Basically that person isn't something to be celebrated or that other people should think they can just say they are. But in an era where everyone wants to be a victim they have to keep finding new characteristics to let them play too.

I agree with most of this article.  Therapy is pushback on some level.  All forms of transitioning are difficult and should be seen as an unfortunate last resort, not something to be encouraged or celebrated.  We have to reject the false dichotomy of we either celebrate trans people or we hate them.  It's neither.  We should accept them and understand that they have made a difficult choice.

This post? This is the one you think is about you? This was a direct result of you diving WAY outside the boundaries of our discussion to give yourself the W. It's intrinsically tied to our discussion on your understanding of the Overton Window.

Are you a narcissist? Now, I'm asking a question about you. Do you see the difference?

That post was about me.  If you didn't intend to be personal in your reply, you would have said something like "An appeal to the ancients makes no sense in a discussion on the Overton Window and modern political discourse.  I wasn't appealing to the ancients, you just don't understand what the Overton Window is so you don't understand what I'm saying."  Such a reply could mention me without being about me.  Do you see the difference?

I absolutely agree.  There are absolutely parents using the possibility of being transgender to shortcut a real discussion about identity and growth.  There are parents who think they are a "brave" parent if they encourage their kid to explore transgenderism.  But the burden isn't on the parent.  The burden is on the kid, and most of these kids will realize it sucks and quit.
That said, this doesn't explain all cases.  There are absolutely kids out there with transgender feelings that didn't come from their parents and didn't come from their peers.

Yeah, about 500 to 800 annually in this Country. The rest are delusion caused by environmental influences.
