I've argued this all offseason. Arob is way better, more talented, more physically gifted, he's flat out better at everything, with the one exception maybe being YAC, and even that is a stretch. Blackmon never showed the consistency that Arob displayed, even when AR15 was a rookie. We way overrate Blackmon around here because of 1 dominant game against a horrible Texans pass D.

That was his 2nd year, thank you come again. And he never had 100 yards in a single game besides the one you mentioned. Maybe my math is suspect, but 865 yds divided by 14 games that he started (he played all 16) doesn't come out to 100 yds per game.

Or could it be the idea all of his "guaranteed" money will still be there for him if he is ever reinstated?  Perhaps he did not understand suspended players are off the team's -payroll.

He's only off the payroll while suspended. Should he re-join the team, he'd still get the remainder...that is, unless he renegotiates.

If he ever did want to make a comeback no way the team would not try and force him to renegotiate. Can't see them wanting to pay him more than minimum considering he hasn't played pro football in years.

That's why the team would want to renegotiate. If they don't, they'd be paying him a heck of a lot more than the minimum.

Because Justin Blackmon was on the suspension list, the roster reduction to 53 players is irrelevant. We cut him a few days later.

 

Aaron Colvin is suspended four games for PED use. He will return during the bye week.
