Carr to be released today -- he pulled a very smart move

I doubt he'd be keen on the drafting a rookie bit though and I'd probably just about take Garropolo if it was a straight shootout too

Personally I could see Carr landing somewhere in the AFC South next year
Is there really a difference between Carr and Love at this point? They're both so average.

Realistically, I see the QB carousel looking like this:

1. Rodgers to Vegas
2. Carr to Jets
3. Jimmy G to Carolina
4. Lamar stays in Baltimore.

Has Rodgers emerged form the darkness yet?

Thank God for the Rams losing to the Jets.  Can't get that game out of my mind, seeing the position they are currently in with Zach Wilson at QB

Jackson's an interesting one ... Franchise tag (two at max) and out for me, whether he'll ever get the deal he's clearly after is very questionable though ... He'll just have to struggle along on the £100m he's already earned  Wink

Last update seemed to be he was giving Schefter and Rapoport grief because he hadn't yet gone ... It's bloody hard to keep up really

Rodgers is beginning to turn into Favre towards the end of his career. Old, bitter and dramatic. It would be fitting if he ended up playing with the Jets. Laying an egg and somehow ending back up in the NFC North in a year or two playing for the Vikings, Bears or Lions.

I'd like to see him go to Washington with EB.  They have great weapons and potentially a great defense also.  I think they would be a sleeper team and a real contender if he went there.   They are also expected to tag Payne. It also keeps him out of the AFC

That's a really good call out. Tough division though. If I am Rodgers I am looking at the path with the least resistance to a Superbowl. The NFC East was one of the more competitive divisions last year with three teams making the play-offs. Would be a good place to test his mettle.

If I were him I would be eyeing the Jets though. Good, talented receiving core there to work with. A loaded backfield. A stout and promising defense in the making. Miami has concerns with Tagovailoa, New England is still in the middle of an identity crisis offensively and Buffalo seems to have a few cracks in it's armor to address in 2023.

The NFC would be a much easier path imo.  They also won 8 games without him.  Young will also be healthy.

I live in Maryland and from what I've heard, they'll tag him and then trade him like the Eagles did with AJ Brown.
