This old school fan is very happy with off season. Didn't break the damn bank and leaves us many options.

It's the right approach with a new staff in place. You raise the talent on the floor with guys that are experienced and familiar with Coen's system and then you make them compete this summer with 10 new faces from the draft.

This free agency class was also lackluster to begin with. Not worried about the contracts handed out at positions of need. We had needs at WR, CB, C and RG. They at least added some pieces there.

The 1996 season taught me that you can have a magical season any given year. Just showcase Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas and the offense will flourish.

I’m hearing a lot of talk about the Jaguars lowkey wanting to draft Jeanty. I’m starting to warm up to it.

Not interested in Jeanty given that we have Etienne for at least one more year and Bigsby still on a 3rd RD contract entering year three. Until the offensive line can consistently showcase competency in opening up running lanes it's a very, very high risk, low reward decision there with the 5th pick for Jeanty.

If anything? I hope it's massive smoke and mirrors being put out there to drum up trade offers ahead of the Raiders there at 6 so they add more premium selections going into day 2 and 3 and possibly into next year's draft. We have needs everywhere. Both safety positions could be upgraded, we could use another strong outside corner with how oft injured Campbell has been and we certainly could use another EDGE presence or two.

Offensively we have a WR room, that, as far as I am concerned? It's completely devoid of talent outside of BTJ as the clear cut WR1. We could still use another promising TE that can effect the passing game and running game at some point to compliment Strange in this new system. We could stand to add at least a new face at RG and OC. Would also say LT, because, again, Walker Little is a liability with his durability as well.

We're not the Lions. Where our front five is composed of three top 10 - 20 overall selections and a pair of 2nd and/or 3rd RD investments to where we can have our "Gibbs" moment in this draft. We have a lot of work to do upfront still.
