I've had this thing for years now.. It's in excellent condition.. My question is what is the wattage when just the a channel is on.. And what is the wattage when 4 speakers are hooked up thanx.. The model number is Kenwood kr a5050..

My friend said its 100x4 with 4 hooked up.. Then he said its 150x2 in stereo mode.. Is that correct or is he wrong..
I'm sure it's 100x4, but my best guess is that you're getting around 50 pure RMS..
I like Kenwood.. Good receivers. Personally I have a Yamaha M-90 power amp and a Yamaha pre-amp pushing 2 Cerwin Vega 15" 3 ways and 2 12" Cerwin 3 ways.. The one amp powers the hell out of them.

Kenwood head units do have nice power.
But if you have nice speakers and really want to hear them sound their best, you need to add an amp to our outs.
