Top 5 weakest positions?

LT. Joeckel stinks and Beachum has major knee injury he's trying to come back from.
LG. Bernadeau,Shatley or Joeckel. Meh TE. Yeah I like Julius Thomas but Lewis stinks and a bunch unknown behind him. SS. Cyprien stinks and Sample who knows. Otto. If Myles Jack is at Mike instead of Otto We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Interesting. That's three posters citing TE.
I think Thomas + Lewis + Sterling + Bowman on the PS will end up being a very respected TE group. Could they get better there? Absolutely. Is it "weak?" I don't really think so. I'm sure they'll draft a guy at some point to take Lewis' place as the (often blocking) #2 TE, but there aren't that many teams with a second TE who puts up big numbers. And frankly, a receiving threat from the #2TE position in this offense is merely a wrinkle to be thrown in every now and then. Between our stacked receiving corps, Julius Thomas and some RBs who can catch - there realistically aren't going to be many receiving opportunities for the guy behind Thomas on the depth chart. He'll more often be used in protection. BTW, Lewis' hands look better with Bortles throwing him the ball. He was credited with only one dropped pass last season. His drop percentage was lower than Julius Thomas' last season. Just my perspective on the TE situation. Flame away. |
