Davon House's New Blog Post: Back to Work

#1

Davon House has a new blog post up talking about all the new additions to the Jaguars defense and as well as his family. It's always fun to read his posts as they provide some pretty cool insight from one of our current players.

I don't think House got enough credit for all the things he did last season.. I mean the defense as a whole was horrible.. and sure House made mistakes at times but the most was asked from him .. covering the best receiver each week from Gronk.. to Odell..etc

I like that House does these. Shows how much character he has by giving the fans any little tid bit of info on the team. Thanks for the post!

From House..

Recently, we learned that Jalen hurt his knee a little bit in practice, but I’m confident he’ll work hard to get back, and be even better than he was before. We’re brothers and teammates and we’re all pulling for him to get back as soon as he can. Unfortunately, injuries are part of the game.

That made me feel better about the whole thing..

I give him a pass on both Hopkins games because of the fact that Hopkins pushes off almost every single play and doesn't get called for it. I live in Texas so I get their games too, so I've seen him do it to other teams not just the Jaguars.

NFL Officiating was terrible at times last year.

I like a lot these write up by House, great insight and seem like a great guy.

And he did very well for us last year especially considering the awful lack of pass rush our secondary was exposed to.

I still cringe at Bradley benching House.

That was a move that was difficult to understand/defend.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I hated it at the time, but House responded by having a pretty good second half of the season. I think Bradley knew he was capable of playing better and wanted to give him a bit of a wakeup call. Seemed like it worked as all five of House's turnovers came in the nine games after the benching.

Exactly. The results speak for themselves.

I understand the House benching I guess, but the worst part of it was benching him for Gratz. Bubblegum almost single-handedly lost us the Buffalo game.

Old article on house^^

Benching him was always about sending him the message that he is better than the level he was playing at. It had nothing to do with Gratz. Also, Andre Branch was so, so bad.
