Dante Fowler is down to 255 Lbs/was 270 when we drafted him

You don't want Fowler at 270-275. Muschump had him playing at that weight his sophomore year. He was noticeably slower and has said so.

Quote:The injury benefitting fowler is about the dumbest thing I've heard. Yes, the injury isn't a career ended or anything like that, but there are far faaaar more negatives than positives here

He missed a year of football and maybe some on field experience. Thats about the only negative. On the other hand he was able to improve his body and get his football mind right

He could have improved his body without an ACL tear.

He also can "get his football mind right" without a torn ligament in his knee.

It's just dumb

The young man has a wonderful attitude. Can't wait to see him wreaking havoc on the field.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I would argue that he was 80% percent committed to the weight room 20% film study while rehabbing the knee. Without the injury most of his time would have been invested in game prep

Could not agree more. On field action is invaluable.

I think it'd be cool to see Fowler, Jack and Telvin at LB with Yannick, Marks, Jackson and Odrick on the line at times.
