He showed it to me once. He didn't say whether it was his or not though.... Big Grin

I liked what i saw. Considering he's a 6th rounder, he moved the QB of his spot often and definitely looks the part. Cant wait to see what Wash can turn him into.

Quote:Biggest steal of the draft. Had one of the highest SPARQ scores coming in, and led his division with 18 sacks.

Quote:The Minnesota Vikings' defensive line coach, Andre Brandt, compared Holmes to Everson Griffen, who he coaches, at Holmes' pro day, per Gil Brandt of NFL.com. Griffen has posted back-to-back double-digit-sack seasons as a former fourth-round pick, which is incredible when you realize that the bust rate for non-first-round pass-rushers is in the ballpark of quarterbacks.

<p style="font-size:16px;color:rgb(55,55,55);font-family:'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif;">When looking at their numbers side by side, the results are interesting. These numbers were pulled from NFL Draft Scout, a site with well-documented combine numbers dating back to 2005.

Yeah, but Griffen puts up those kinds of numbers while weighing twenty pounds heavier. I'm not even sure if this guy can hope to catch Griffen.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Griffen is a monster. 99% chance Holmes doesn't reach his level.

Yes. Holmes scouting reports all seem to mention his quick twitch out of his stance and good bend.  When that doesn't work he runs into trouble.

Hopefully Wash and company can teach him some better leverage technique and help him develop a counter move or two so he's not one dimensional.

Those twenty pounds certainly make a difference when that first move doesn't work!

Should be a fun guy to watch in preseason when he gets a shot to rush against some other twos and threes.

You know if Jack is going to our MLB of the future, which all signs point to, considering all he's taking is MLB reps and isn't a blitzing LB then there's a chance for Holmes to take the job day one from Skuta.

WLB - Telvin

MLB - Poz/Jack

SLB - Holmes/Skuta

But then you gotta factor in the they could throw Fowler in at SLB too.

This is what I'm seeing too. I really like that.

For now the Sam/Otto starter seems to be Ryan Davis. I don't see Skuta being a Jaguar in September.
