Shilique Calhoun

I prefer Jonathan Bullard or Carl Nassib over Calhoun. I think either Bullard or Nassib will be more productive than Calhoun over their respective careers.

Bullard is not an edge rusher.  He had his best season this past year when we moved him to DT.  Bullard was rated the number 1 DT against the run by pff for whatever thats worth.  Bullard can rush the passer but most of his work is done from the inside.

Whos spot is he gonna take?  I love the guy and think he will be a stud and probably make multiple pro bowls but we just signed Malik, we need some edge rushers.

At what point in the draft should the Jags take a player that is not the best available regardless of position?

I understand the point of not taking a QB, but Jonathan Bullard could play DE at 286 lbs, which is a bit light for a DT.

Bullard plays much like Joey Bosa, with power rather than speed.

Who is a better selection: Bullard, Nassib or Correa?

I will take Bullard every time over that group.

You keep comparing Bullard to DEs.  He is a DT.  A bit light is when it will usually hurt you against the run.  The guy was the best run stopping DT in all of college football.  I dont think that will be an issue.  Florida would play Bullard at DE at times this year but most of his damage was done on the inside.  Bullard is the same size as Aaron Donald and if you want to draft him to play him at DE you are drafting him for the wrong position.  If this team has gave up on Marks I can see drafing him but I dont even think Bullard will be there when we pick in the 2nd

Rewatch the Bullard combine interview perhaps. He says many times that he sees himself as a 3T. It's a weird comparison.

Not that Bullard isn't the right answer to the question in a vacuum, but for our needs the answer may be Correa.
