Let's talk Marqise Lee

#61

I still think he would be a dangerous Kick Returner for us.

IDC of hes fragile or not, need to find ways to get the ball in his hands.

I think I read somewhere in a free agency article that the market for a decent WR2 was above $8M a year. I think we are set with A-Rob and Hurns, and Greene in the slot. Lee is great depth, and we might be able to leverage him to someone who needs a #2 after this season. Even with his injuries so far, if he puts together a good season this year I think the pick will have been good value.

After the last 2015 home game as I sat in Mr. Khan's suite, (LOL, I had to say that) I talked to Marquis and told him to maintain because 2016 was going to be his year as he showed true health within the latter part of the year. He looked me dead in the eye and said, "I'm not worried about that, I'm going to get mine".    At that point I could've crawled underneath a rock. He's unfased by the success of Robinson and Hurns to the point that he knows it'll become an threesome.   I said that to say this. I believe that Marquis will be a star for our Jaguars to say the least...

We already know ARob and Hurns are gooood but imagine if Marqise Lee becomes who we drafted for... or Rashad Greene blows up? They both have the skill set to succeed in the league.

Lee will have to play his way back onto the field. Has all the upside in the world but all of the lingering injuries makes me question his attitude about practicing and being a professional.

He's done nothing to give anyone the impression he's not a dedicated pro.  In fact his coaches and fellow players continually say otherwise. Lee also expressed his extreme frustration mid season last year with being kept off the field  - and mentioned he was learning to be patient but initially struggled to do so.

I think you may be just projecting your own doubt due to his injuries. Which is understandable, but probably not accurate.

I agree. It seems when he does see the field he's passionate! I like that about him. I think last year was more due to the coaches than him. I think he will take off this year if he can stay on the field. Teams know about Arob and hurnsy, so this is his chance to blow the doors off.
