Yes, I was raised in a very conservative non-denominational environment. Message board rules prohibit much comment beyond an expression of complete lack of surprise.

 

This discussion prompted me to research, one thing I found interesting is the ADA has been successfully invoked to prohibit the firing of employees for drinking, because they were alcoholics. Alcoholism is classified as a disease by the ADA, giving alcoholics certain protections.
