What needs to happen for a Super Bowl trophy to come to Jax?

Quote:What needs to happen for us to win a Superbowl you ask? it's simple: beat the Patriots. I'm serious. Of all the teams that we've faced in both the regular season and playoffs we've never beaten the Pats. They will, and always have been, the 900 pound gorilla that we have never gotten off of our back in the postseason (save for 98*).

Just for fun here is the head to head Jags vs all other teams.

Dang.  Patriots are the only team we've never beaten.

Cleveland

Tampa

Detroit

KC

Philly

Baltimore

Oakland

Denver

Cincy

Jets

...are the teams we have a winning record against.

Not exactly what I would have guessed.

Yeah, despite what the Jags have looked like in recent years, there were a few years that they were really good and actually favored to win games, and yes, even road games.

I believe we all hope for the Jags to reach that level again and the sooner the better.

We beat the Patriots in the playoffs when Robert Edwards was the RB...

Almost any other QB in the NFL? Only one man was sacked more than 100 times over the last two years, and his name rhymes with Jake Bortles.
He got hit so much that I recognize his face towards the end of the season, thought it was a different guy.

A tough defense and some sort of a running game just to keep the pressure off of Bortles.

No pain, no gain.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
