LB vs. FS vs. EDGE at #5 Mocks

#1

The tale of three mock drafts.

Each attempts to acquire players at positions of need in 5 rounds with an option in the fifth.

I'd like any of these scenarios.  Feel free to judge away.  It's just a list of guys I think could help our Jags.

MOCK 1  - If the Jags take a flier on a LB at 5.

#5  -  Myles Jack  - LB

#38 - Vernon Butler - DT

#69 - Jordan Jenkins  - LEO

#100 - Houston-Carson FS

#146 - Max Tuerk - C   *or Aaron Green RB

MOCK 2   - If the Jags take Ramsey at 5.

#5 -  Jalen Ramsey CB/FS

#38 - Emmanuel Ogbah DE

#69 - Artie Burns CB

#100 -Maliek Collins DT

#146 - Aaron Green RB   *or Max Tuerk C

MOCK 3  - If the Jags take the best pass rusher they can at 5 (Bosa or Spence or ? )

#5 -  Noah Spence DE  (or best available edge rusher)

#38 - Darian Thompson FS

#69 - Joshua Garnett OG    (if they push Cann inside to Center - Artie Burns at CB otherwise)

#100 - Maliek Collins DT

#146 -  Aaron Green RB * or Jayron Kearse SS

I like your 1st one best. The 1st 3 picks will start or at least be in the rotation. Houston-Carson may not start right away, but he has good potential at free safety or possibly cornerback.

Mock 1 and 3 look miles better

To judge which of your 3 mocks are better, I would have to know who was acquired in FA.  I am not an Ogbah fan, so I would probably eliminate Mock 2 from contention.

Why not? Seems to have good size and watching the Florida state and Ole Miss tapes he's pretty disruptive.

Your spelling us "aweful" bruh.

Also, he obviously should have taken Oakman at 5.

Ogbah is more of a power end, exceeding in college with his strength, not his speed.  Once into the NFL, I think his strength advantage will be negated to some degree, and his lack of speed and explosion will be limiting for him.

From NFL.com:

Bottom Line: Upon first glance, Ogbah appears unimpressive because he doesn't play with the quickness or athleticism expected of productive pass rushers, but eventually, his translatable qualities avail themselves. Ogbah's power will serve him well against the run, but he will have to become more skilled as a pass rusher. He can play 3-4 outside linebacker or 4-3 defensive end, and he might have value inside in subpackages.

I don't know about that guys evaluation, he seems to have both power and the ability to get around the edge with speed, seems to me like a pretty ideal De in the Nfl. I don't know If he's top 5 pick worthy but in the second I'd be on board with him as the pick depending on who we get in the 1st.

Ogbah reminds me of Kyle Vanden Bosch.
